Acceptance of Terms
By accessing Tales From Time (https://talesfromtime.com), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the site.
Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, all written content on this site is the original work of Tales From Time and its author and is protected by copyright. You may share brief excerpts with clear attribution and a link back to the original article. You may not republish, reproduce, scrape, or redistribute full articles — in any medium, including AI training datasets — without prior written permission.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to use this site in any way that is unlawful, harmful, or disruptive; not to attempt unauthorized access to any part of the site; and not to post comments that are defamatory, hateful, obscene, or spam. We reserve the right to moderate, edit, or remove comments at our sole discretion.
Content Disclaimer
All content is provided for informational and entertainment purposes. See our Disclaimer page for full details on historical interpretation, mythology, and AI-generated imagery.
Advertisements and Third-Party Links
This site displays third-party advertising (including Google AdSense) and links to external websites. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third party.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tales From Time and its author shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, this website.
Copyright Complaints and DMCA Notices
We take copyright seriously, both ours and yours. All written content on Tales From Time is original work written by Saurav Sinha, and every illustration on the site is an original AI-generated image made for the article it appears in. We do not use licensed press photography, stock libraries or museum photography. In practice, then, most complaints we receive are likely to concern quotation, paraphrase or missing attribution rather than a reproduced photograph. We would still rather hear from you than have you guess at our intentions.
If you believe material on this site infringes your copyright, write to Saurav Sinha at sauravsinha@talesfromtime.com with the subject line Copyright Notice. A complete notice, of the kind contemplated by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act and by Indian copyright law, should contain all six of the following:
- Identification of the copyrighted work you say has been infringed, with enough detail for us to recognise it. If several works are involved, a representative list is fine.
- Identification of the material you are complaining about and the exact URL on talesfromtime.com where it appears, so we can find it without searching.
- Your contact details, including your full name, postal address, telephone number and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate, and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on the owner’s behalf, made under penalty of perjury.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
On receiving a notice that contains all six elements, we will remove or disable access to the material expeditiously, and we will tell you what we have done. Where the material was posted by a reader, for example in a comment, we will also let that person know and pass on a copy of the notice. An incomplete notice may delay us, because we may have to come back to you for the missing part, so it is worth checking the list before you send.
If your material has been removed and you believe that was a mistake or a misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same address. A counter-notice should identify the material and the URL where it appeared before removal, give your name, postal address, telephone number and email address, state under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification, consent to the jurisdiction of the United States federal district court for the judicial district in which your address is located, or, if your address is outside the United States, of any judicial district in which this site may be found, and carry your physical or electronic signature. We will forward a valid counter-notice to the original complainant. If they do not tell us within a reasonable period that they have begun legal proceedings to restrain the use of the material, we may restore it.
Please do not send notices you know to be false. Both a false complaint and a false counter-notice can expose the sender to liability for costs and damages. We also reserve the right to remove material, or to end a reader’s ability to comment, where we receive repeated valid complaints about the same person.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Tales From Time and its author, Saurav Sinha, against any claim, demand, loss, liability, cost or reasonable legal expense arising out of or connected with your use of this website, any content you submit to it, including comments and any material you link to or quote in them, or any breach by you of these Terms and Conditions or of any applicable law.
This means that if a third party brings a claim against us because of something you did or something you posted, the responsibility for that claim rests with you and not with us. We will tell you promptly if such a claim is made, and we may take part in defending it and choose our own representation. Nothing in this clause asks you to take on liability for our own acts, or for anything the law does not permit us to pass on to you.
User Comments and Submissions
Comments are welcome, and disagreement is welcome with them. What is not welcome is anything unlawful, defamatory, hateful, obscene, threatening, or posted only to advertise something. We read comments before they appear and we moderate, edit or remove them at our discretion, without being obliged to give a reason. We may also close comments on an article, or block a persistent nuisance from commenting again.
You keep ownership of whatever you write. By posting a comment or sending us a message through the site, you grant Tales From Time a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide and perpetual licence to store, reproduce, display and publish that material on this site, and to quote it in a related article or in a correction, alongside the name and any website you supplied when posting. The licence is limited to running and archiving this publication. It does not let us sell your words on to anyone else, and it does not oblige us to keep any comment up.
When you post, you confirm that the material is your own work or that you have the right to share it, that it does not infringe anyone else’s copyright, and that it contains nothing you were not free to publish. Please do not put private information about yourself or anyone else into a comment. Comments carry the views of the person who wrote them and not ours, and publishing a comment is not an endorsement of it.
If you have sent us an unsolicited idea, draft or manuscript, we cannot promise to keep it confidential and we cannot pay for it or return it. Please write to sauravsinha@talesfromtime.com first if you want to discuss a contribution.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Delhi, India.
Changes
We may revise these Terms at any time. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Questions: sauravsinha@talesfromtime.com.
